Preparing organisations for the agentic era

Search engines indexed information. AI systems synthesise it — and increasingly decide who gets recommended, trusted and chosen.

Search engines indexed information. AI systems increasingly synthesise information, generate recommendations and shape decisions. That changes the challenge for organisations: it is no longer enough to be found.

Organisations increasingly need to understand what AI knows about them, how AI represents them, which information shapes those representations, and how those representations can be governed over time. Tripicon was created to help organisations navigate that shift.

AI is becoming infrastructure

For two decades, websites, search engines and booking platforms formed the digital infrastructure of travel. Today, AI is emerging as a new layer of that infrastructure.

Travellers increasingly ask AI systems to discover, compare, recommend and explain. Employees rely on AI to interpret policy, guide decisions and navigate complexity. Organisations are beginning to build AI into core operational workflows.

As AI becomes infrastructure, representation becomes critical infrastructure.

The question is no longer simply whether an organisation can be found. It is how that organisation is represented when AI answers on its behalf.

Why now

AI is moving from feature to infrastructure. As it becomes embedded in discovery, planning, servicing and decision-making, organisations need visibility into what AI knows about them, how AI represents them, and which information is shaping those outcomes. Tripicon helps organisations govern those foundations.

The thesis

Visibility was the challenge of the search era. Representation is the challenge of the agentic era.

For more than two decades, organisations focused on websites, search rankings, traffic and digital visibility. Today customers increasingly receive an answer without ever visiting a website. When that happens, the question changes. Not can we be found? — but how are we represented? That is where Tripicon focuses.

1. The shift

The way travellers discover and choose has changed.

Search era

Organisations competed for visibility.

Agentic era

Organisations compete for representation.

2. The impact

AI increasingly influences traveller decisions.

  • Where travellers go
  • What they experience
  • What they book
  • Which providers they choose

3. The why

Better AI representation creates a positive chain of outcomes.

  1. Better representation

AI has accurate, complete and trusted information about you.

  2. More relevant recommendations

AI delivers recommendations that match traveller preferences, needs and intent.

  3. Better traveller experiences

Travellers enjoy the right experiences that meet or exceed their expectations.

  4. Higher customer satisfaction

Happy travellers drive trust, loyalty, advocacy and stronger business outcomes.

4. The how

Tripicon enables organisations to improve representation and outcomes.

  1. Measure representation across AI ecosystems.

Understand how AI models and agents represent your organisation.

  2. Govern the information behind those representations.

Ensure information is accurate, trusted, up to date and properly attributed.

  3. Activate trusted AI-powered experiences.

Power AI experiences and integrations that deliver value to travellers and your business.

Better AI representation. More trusted recommendations. Better traveller experiences.

The governance challenge

Organisations cannot govern every answer. They can govern what shapes them.

AI representations vary by user, location, model and context. No organisation can control every response produced by every AI system. What an organisation can govern is the foundation those responses are built on:

  • Information. What is published, structured and maintained about the organisation.
  • Authority. Which sources carry weight, and which should.
  • Provenance. Where an answer came from, and when it was last verified.
  • Ownership. Who is responsible for each source of truth.
  • Permissions. How AI systems are allowed to access and act on information.
  • Accountability. Who reviews representation, and how often.

Tripicon helps organisations govern those foundations.

What is AI Representation Governance?

Tripicon uses the term AI Representation Governance to describe the practice of understanding and improving how organisations are represented within AI-mediated discovery, recommendation and experience ecosystems.

It combines representation intelligence, information governance, provenance, authority, ownership and accountability into a single discipline — one that sits with the organisation rather than with any individual AI system.

Why travel first?

Travel is becoming one of the first AI-mediated industries. Travellers increasingly ask AI where they should stay, which airline to fly, which venue to book, which destination to visit and how to get there. Those answers influence decisions before a traveller reaches a website.

That makes travel an ideal environment for understanding how AI represents organisations and experiences — and the governance challenge it creates is not unique to travel.

How we work

  • Assessment. Understand current AI representation.
  • Governance. Identify authoritative sources, ownership and accountability.
  • Advisory. Develop governance approaches and implementation plans.
  • Platform. Monitor and improve representation over time.

What’s next

AI is not just changing travel decisions. It is changing travel experiences.

When travellers rely on AI to discover, plan, navigate and experience journeys, the quality of the information behind those interactions becomes critical. Better information creates better recommendations. Better recommendations create better experiences. Better experiences create better outcomes — for travellers and for the organisations serving them.

  1. Governancethe foundations you own
  2. Representationwhat AI says about you
  3. Recommendationswho gets suggested
  4. Experienceswhat the traveller gets
  5. Outcomesfor travellers and you

Tripicon’s governance capabilities are built for a future where AI increasingly mediates discovery, recommendation and experience. Organisations that establish trusted information foundations today are better positioned to participate in the AI-powered journeys of tomorrow.

Why Tripicon exists

Tripicon is the commercial evolution of more than 20 years of research into travel experiences, recommendation systems, discovery and traveller decision-making. Originally explored through concepts such as context-aware and augmented travel experiences, the emergence of AI assistants, agents and agentic systems has created a practical pathway to deliver these ideas at scale. Tripicon is focused on helping travel organisations design, manage and activate the knowledge, relationships, experiences and experience sequences that shape the next generation of traveller interactions.

What we’re building

We are developing a creative SaaS platform that enables travel organisations to design, manage and activate the knowledge, relationships, experiences and experience sequences that AI systems use to guide traveller discovery, planning, recommendations and on-location experiences. Content can be delivered through Tripicon or integrated into customer AI, agentic and MCP environments.
